Congrats to deare! Who has officially graduated with a 2nd Lower and attaining an A- for her Final Year Project. It's been a tough 4 years and you've finally completed education, good on you! Now i can't wait to graduate myself! Arh.... I need strength!!!
Sucky Exam timetable! 17, 18, 26 and 27th June. I'm going to have it tough, but i will overcome it! Lost my hall key today, cost me 50bucks to replace!!! Heart PAIN!!!
I miss Singapore..... somehow studying overseas gets boring after the first semester, no wonder people do study exchanges, hahaha...
Congrats to Obama too! He won Hillary Clinton in the race of the Democratic Party representative, it's been the most expensive rally in history, and good on him!
Food for Thought
As I study more economics, I realise there's always a tradeoff between present quality of life and future gain in the economy, Singaporeans complain about living standards today all the time for trade-off of future economic growth, and at the same time criticise other countries which practice welfare rights.
So what are we looking for ultimately? When we get economic gain, we complain about life and how tough it is, how hard we have to work etc.... But then we look at others who have a better life, spending more time with their families and given protected labour rates and we label them as lazy and unproductive. Then again, if everything is focussed on the future, who enjoys the present?
Are Singaporeans just a bunch of cynical people who are unhappy and will always remain unhappy? Why can't we find the silver lining in every cloud?
Let's count our blessings, give thanks we are able to reach home safely, have a good meal, able to work.
